Greetings All,
As the county level eBird reviewer for Washington Co., I have access to the
reporting observer's email. I just sent them an email letting them know that
other birders are going to be interested in looking for the Yellow-throated
Warbler and that they should consider how they wish to deal with that. I
probably will not hear back from them until tomorrow morning, by which time
some of you may be already be GPSing your way to their neighborhood. All I can
do is encourage everyone to be mindful that this bird is on private property at
someone's residence. Thus far they have not indicated that they are willing to
entertain the expected parade of birders who will want to look for this bird.
Hopefully, I will hear back from them fairly early Friday morning and we can
establish some respectful protocols for looking for this bird. If they decide
to not make their property available then we need to be respectful of that
decision as well.
