One and possibly two male rufous hummers at my feeder this afternoon. The "two"
was a loud altercation that appeared to be same size birds.
Odd sight of the day was four starlings that flew into the top of a fir tree
and settled in. About fifteen seconds later there was a huge ruckus and almost
fifty crows converged on that small stand of trees, pursuing nothing I could
see. The starlings blasted out in desperation mode through the crow-swarm like
the Millenium Falcon on a bad day. Nice to see them in that situation for a
change.
