Diane Petty and I completed the Coos Bay raptor count today 11/17. This
113 mile route can be brutal, but the best reward came as our last bird of
the day!! Low numbers overall, NO WATER in the slough regions, but good
diversity.

White Tailed Kite 5 (corner of E Catching Slough where it meets S Coos
River HIghway)

Barred Owl 1 (North Way Dr. , 1.5 miles up)
Osprey 4 (1 N spit, 1, Pony Slough, 2 just north of casino parking lot
on 101)
