The 4th South Grants Pass raptor survey was completed today, 03-21-19.
Traveled 26.7 miles in 2.5 hours. Weather: clear
Observed were:
Red-tailed Hawk - 3
American Kestrel - 2
Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
Turkey Vulture - 2
Low number of species and individuals found, even Turkey Vulture numbers
were lower then expected for late March. Perhaps hawks out there, but
nesting and not as visible. Have seen some paired up and on nests at
different locations around the valley.
