1. Last meeting of the summer this morning, but wait.... there's more... if
you want to improve your attendance you can meet at Blenz on July 11 for a
coffee and donut or at Shannon Lake Golf Course on August 8th. Same time..
Please let Jane know if you are coming in August as she has to make sure
there will be enough coffee and food.
2. Give blood if you can. It may save someone you know. Important if you can
give blood, please do so, please register as OBE.
3. Referrals this morning. 7 1 st and 6 3rd. 13 in total.
4. Blood Donor Clinic will be hosted by OBE unless otherwise notified on
July 2, from 12 noon to 6:45. Each member needs to invite a minimum of 2
people to come and donate that day! Let's make a difference and give life!
There are still 42 spots left. Help out if you can.
5. We still have approximately 20 cooler bags left over from the golf
tournament and you are able to purchase for $20.00 each and the money will
go towards the golf tournament/food bank.
6. We will have a breakfast on September 12, not a pancake breakfast but
perhaps scrambled eggs, toast, bacon etc. or even a continental breakfast.
It will be a surprise!!
7. Summer Party is July 8th at Shannon Lake Golf Course. going from 2 -
5pm. Sign up with Giles if you have not already.
8. Nice to have Paul Marois back again and his busier than at cat trying to
bury poop on a marble floor type of day.
9. Please try and remember to put your phones on vibrate or mute so you are
not a distraction to the speaker.
10. Congratulation to Leah on her upcoming 50th wedding anniversary on
August 18th
11. Lana was helpful in getting a friend a job and now she is getting an all
expense paid trip to Paris. Wow, what a friend.

13. Congratulations to Kim Booker's grandson who was one of the recipients
of the OBE bursaries.
14. John Hudson's street has their own parade, pancake breakfast watermelon
at noon and then booze and hot dogs. Then bedtime by 5 pm
15. Dave says if you are going to eat carp you fire up a bbq pit with
bricks. Put the carp on the bricks and pour half a bottle of Rollingdale
wineries red, flip over pour the other half and then bake for an hour. Then
you eat the bricks.
16. Jeff says he will be making the trek to Winnipeg. I lived there for a
few years and the only danger is getting carried away by the mosquitoes and
dropped in the polluted Lake Winnipeg.
17. Sounds like everyone is going to have a typical Okanagan summer.....

18. Paul Hergott says he has graduated from camping in tents to pulling his
house around behind him. People I know still call that camping for some
strange reason.
19. Neil is off to Greece for a wedding. Sound pretty awesome.
20. September will bring a social at Axe Monkey's again. Details to follow
from Giles.
21. Sherry advises not try and fix your a/c yourself in your car. It will
end up costing you more in the long run.
