1. Give blood if you can. It may save someone you know. Important if you can
give blood, please do so, please register as OBE. Our goal this year is 35.
Blood Donor Clinic is April 8th.
2. Speaker this morning was Denise giving us information on High Velocity
Super Groups
3. Referrals this morning... 10 1st and 3 3rd for a total of 13
4. Dues are due now. If you haven't please send a cheque to Karen.
VII. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS 1. Regular attendance is necessary to ensure the
mission of OBE is executed in the most effective manner.
2. Members are required to attend a minimum of 70% of weekly meetings, the
percentage to be calculated monthly on the basis of the members’ attendance
over the previous 6 months.
3. The Attendance Director shall issue a quarterly report to the membership
setting out each member’s attendance percentage.
4. A member who is personally absent from a meeting, but has a guest or
replacement person from their business attend in their place, is deemed to
have attended the meeting. A person may not be counted as attending for more
than one business at a meeting.
5. A member who fails to meet the minimum attendance requirements set out in
paragraph VII(2) may risk losing their OBE membership. The member will be
notified by the Attendance Director and will have 30 days (one month) to: a)
Bring their attendance up to / or above the 70% requirement; or
b) Deliver to the Executive a written application requesting to maintain
their membership with a commitment to meet the 70% requirement in future and
a $50.00 penalty payment. If the application is accepted by the Executive,
the member’s attendance will reset to start as of their first meeting back.
6. Failure to fulfill either of the 5(a) or (b) will result in automatic
removal from the OBE membership on the 31st day at which time the member
would then have to re-apply for membership following regular procedures.
5. Social Schedule: Next week's meeting will be at Courses Restaurant for our
Pancake Non Pancake Breakfast.
6. Golf Tournament June 14th. NEW WEBSITE for registering etc to come shortly.
7. New member inducted today. Michael Huber of Huber Mortgages.
8. We are going to have a 20th Anniversary Event. If you have contact with
past members please pass on to Denise and Jane.
9. March 16 the Westside Lions Club are having their 18th Annual pickerel
dinner tickets are 20.00 each. contact Glen at 250 768 8925
10. It is time to think about if you are sponsoring a hole or putting a team
into our golf tournament June 14 at Shannon Lake.
11. Special meeting next week presented by Jane and Denise. We should all try
and be there.
12. Pancake Breakfast March 27 at Courses Restaurant. Good time to bring
potential members out.

15. Raymond says what a surprise when you shave your head in the morning only
to discover in the meeting he missed a spot.
16. Reminder from Dan that Microsoft will quit updates and support for
Windows 7 at the end of the year. Guess it is time to get rid of my Windows
XP !
17. Darlene is doing a fundraiser and selling metal straws to help out Ben.
She will bring some out next week. $20.00 each with $4.00 going to the
charity.
