Hi Sarah -
We have a minimum amount that has to be met before we cut a check... I'm pretty
sure you can set that up in ECS. It helps out not having to cut those 1 and 2
dollar checks that never gets cashed.

Subject: [oathamain] utility Allowances and HUD
Hello OATHA group
Does Authority send tenants Utility Allowance checks? My LIPH person
has advised me that HUD is now allowing HA's that pay UA to tenants to
hold back anything less than $ 45.00 fo r three months - meaning anyone
receiving less 45 dollars or less a month will receive a Quarterly Utility
Allowance Check .
ECS is aware of this change but has not written anything in their software to
accommodate yet.
Do you do issue Utility Allowance checks to the tenants ? if so do you
know how your HA is going to handle this new situation?
THANKS in advance for any responses
Sarah
