Just a reminder that the Friends of Sligo Creek biannual Sweep the Creek event
is taking place this weekend, and there's plenty of trash to be removed.
Here are two nearby locations:
Section 3: Piney Branch to Maple Ave Meet at Parking lot near the intersection
of Sligo Parkway and Kennebec Rd. Saturday, April 23, 9-11:00 am
Section 4: Wayne Ave to Piney Branch Meet at Parking lot by the tennis courts
just upstream from Piney Branch Rd. Sunday, April 24, 1-3:00 pm

Bring gloves, rubber boots, and a picker/grabber tool, if you have them. Bring
family and friends, too! Trash and recycling bags (and possibly gloves?) will
be provided.
