The 895 tunnel route is slightly shorter in miles, but it is a single point
of failure if something goes wrong. (I like to take it, though). My
sister (who lives in CT) always suggests checking the traffic on the day to
see which is better, the GW or Tappan Zee (or should I say, Mario Cuomo)
bridge. I usually take the GW bridge to eventually get to 684.

Any thoughts on taking I-895 before BWI? We've done it and preferred it to
staying on 95, but Waze seems to prefer 95.
We are advising them to cross the Hudson on the Tappan Zee Bridge and then
take the Saw Mill River Parkway to I-84. Or to take the longer and less
curvy I-684 to I-84. Or to tay on 287 to 15 to I-91 to 84.
