[Nashville RATS] QST RATS - URGENT ACTION REQUIRED

QST RATS de KC5PQX - President of The Radio Amateur Transmitting Society of
Nashville, TN.
Hurricane Katrina is affecting ALL of us. Even here in Middle Tennessee.
Your help as an amateur radio operator is urgently requested - NOW - right
here in Nashville.
Right now, Davidsion County ARES organization desperately needs amateur
radio volunteers assist in passing radio messages for the Red Cross - HERE
in Nashville. They are looking for operators to work weekday shifts,
Mon.-Fri., from 9 am to 3 pm at the Red Cross Chapter on Charlotte Ave. and
at the Hurricane Relief Shelters in Southeast and East Nashville. Shifts
are: 0900-1500 and 1500-1800++.
Volunteers should send e-mail to: ham@xxxxxxxxxx with the following
information:
1. Call
2. First and Last Name
3. All telephone numbers including Cell, Home, and Work
4. What days & hours you would be available
5. Any equipment that you have available to use (mobile, HT, base, antennas,
etc)
Even if you don't have any equipment, you are still needed. All you need is
your amateur radio license - ANY class.

Thanks for your assistance during this time of crisis. If you're not able
to help at this time, we encourage you to keep tuned to the 146.67 repeater
to monitor for additional opportunities to assist. If nothing else, please
keep these victims in your prayers.
