[Nashville RATS] Homeland Security Drill POSTPONED

To all RATS and friends,
Yesterday's Tennessean newspaper (Sunday, Sept. 5) reported on page 2B
that the Homeland Security District 5 drill scheduled for Sept. 23-25, has
been postponed.
Richard Byrd, director of Metro's OEM, is quoted as saying the drill
could be postponed for up to 6 months.
Many of the RATS were planning to participate in this drill. If you did
not have firm plans, the postponement will give you more time to prepare.
If you are interested in participating in this drill, ARES and/or the
Red Cross could really use more radio operators. Please e-mail the RATS at:
