B/c the CarbonLib will contain routines that are useful to all kinds of 
apps, even if they're not meant to run in OS X.

PS I regret to say that I actually fired up Classic for the first time this 
year :( (I don't think I've actually used it since upgrading to OS X 10.3. 
I'm sure I must've but I simply cannot remember... I don't have any 
Classic-only apps anymore... I boot into OS 9 for VPC 5 every once in a blue 
moon but that's about it).
