Hey Greg...on the same note, but different question....I'm running the beta
2 right now, and I sent to MS for the free trial version...I need to do this
so I can extend the time I have before I have to buy this monster...since my
budget is a-hurtin right now...so, I'm going to run the beta til it expires,
then run the free 30 day trial, then, HOPEFULLY, buy the full version....so,
here's my question...what do you recommend?

My thinking is I should uninstall the beta, then install the trial....but,
do I need to uninstall the trial when I get the full version, or can I just
upgrade that? Will the trial also have unsupported build numbers?

For anyone interested...you can order the free trials of all the 2003
products here...just pay shipping charges:

You probably can (I *sometimes* take this vector) but it's always a poor
recommendation for fairly obvious reasons. In addition, preview copies
should also be uninstalled and replaced but for a slightly more insidious
reason. In recent years, early preview copies will be of a build number that
isn't supported by security patches and you find yourself in the middle of a
worldwide worm attack and unable to plug the security hole in your
installation.
