Well, you can put a value request into a query so that it will ask for the item you want and then use it in, or return it with, the query. The syntax in the query is the prompt enclosed in square brackets. E.g. [Date from]. That will ask you for the value each time you run the query which will be called by the report. (If you're not currently using a query, you will need one, I don't think you can define this straight into a report. But, it doesn't make a lot of sense, as you describe it. Putting dates you've typed next to names and values you've extracted from the database seems to be missing a step somehow. How do you know / ensure that the information you are displaying from the database is actually associated with the dates you've typed in? I think you need to work through the logic of your report much more carefully before you create it. If the database doesn't have dates in it already, you probably don't want to start introducing them at report time. If it does have dates in it already, then you should be using, or checking, them.
