hi david and all thankyou for your email, i will try to elaborate,i have the following name - ann hours average rate of pay rate inflator holiday due 20 4.52677777 10,129 answer where answer = hours * average rate of pay * (rate inflator /100) this started in october and presently runs to the 24th february, what i want to do is to show preferably next to the name the date from until the date to , as although the report i have at present covers the first three months and therefore having no date is not a problem, for subsequent periods (normally in roughly three month tranches) it will be a problem on another report i have to input the start date and finish date before running the report but cant remember how i did this- you will gather that i do not use access very often, so each time i do soimething it is a learning experience i hope that this explanation gives a clearer understanding as to what i am trying to achieve thanks ann Ann E Fitzmaurice Medical Statistician Immpact ,University of Aberdeen Health Sciences Building Foresterhill Aberdeen, AB25 2ZD Scotland Tel: +44 (0)1224 553876 Fax: +44 (0)1224 555704 Email: <mailto:a.e.fitzmaurice@xxxxxxxxxx <mailto:a.e.fitzmaurice@xxxxxxxxxx> > a.e.fitzmaurice@xxxxxxxxxx ________________________________ From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of David Smart Sent: Sun 02/03/2008 07:03 To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: access 2003reports I don't have a feel for where you're having problems. Assuming the dates are fields in the database, you'd just select them from the table and position them in the report in the same ways as any other fields. What specifically are you having problems with, with dates?
