We do the search/replace thing all the time. We're just looking for a
more programmed way to get the job done. We could build a macro based
on our search/replace procedure but I'm wondering if there's something
we could include in the merge field itself or if there's another way.

Try doing your search and replace with a space included after the
offending letters - ie:
Search for Po[space]
Replace with PO[space]
And make sure that your case sensitive box is ticked.
It *should* work - have done it plenty of times before but not on
something as large as your print run sounds.

Hi All.
We print tons'o'envelopes based on addresses we get from a database over
which we have little control. We need to modify capitalization on the
fly for some of the most common errors.
For example
Po Box 1111 should be PO Box
121 Sw Some Street should be 121 SW Some Street
We checked with the folks who control the data and they say that the
sentence case auto thing they do to the data is a feature, not a
bug...ha, ha and the only other option we have at the source would be
all caps which is not what we want.
Short of an edit/replace kind of thing is there something we can put in
the merge fields that would help us with this annoying little issue?
