Robert,

You don't create a stand-alone app with Developer. It allows you to create
and distribute a run-time version of Access that allows the database to run
on a machine where it is installed. To create this, open up a module, click
on Add-ins and then on the Package and Deployment Wizard. It will walk you
through it. It does work although I have seen a number of complaints that
it can be bulky but it does the job.

James

But I don't have that Carousel...so I can't tell you anything about that
possible issue. Although I doubt it????

I don't -think- there was a conflict between Windows XP, Office XP, and the
CD Carousels (3), but after I installed Office XP Developer, I reloaded the
Carousel software and everything seemed 'normal' again. I am guessing that
one of the three wanted/expected a file what was older than the newest one.

Ok, now that I have Developer installed, if I write a two column database,
can someone teach me how to make it 'stand-alone'? This was my reason for
this investment.

Thank you.

Robert
