>Funny, Dian....this same conversation is going on in the Eclectic
Academy staff group cuz one of the instructors made her class pages in
Word and is now trying to clean up the messy code Word made when she
converted it to html. She used Dreamweaver, which is supposed to clean
it up, and that made the problem WAY worse.<

Well...I can only assume she doesn't know how to use the program
properly...since that's what I do a dozen times a month with no problem,
as you know.

I take Word docs, Ctrl/A to capture, Ctrl/V to paste into DW...read,
edit text as needed, apply any quick Ctrl/B for bold or Ctrl/I for
italic where needed, click a list or blockquote of needed, reset the
hyperlinks, Ctrl/Shift/I to insert images, save, Ctrl/~ to flip to code,
Ctrl/A to capture all the code, open LEI's management software on the
web for the current TechTrax issues, click New/Article, enter the
article title manually, click to link to the author, hit Ctrl/V to paste
the code into the textbox, click save and email the author to proof
it...move on to the next article.

The beauty of an app provider is you just pick the LOOK you want and
drop in HTML and the software gives you the beautiful results. Yes, I'd
love to take the credit for how TechTrax look, but I just picked the
look and am the editor...LEI's management software is the auto designer.

And the results are in www.mousetrax.com/techtrax each month.

(See LEI Publication Manager if anyone is interested in this primo app
provider software for managing publications:
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/. If interested...tell them I
recommended you and I believe you can still get a little discount on the
price.)
