[mso] Search and Replace a set of Characters with carriage return? Possible?

Suppose I have the following line:

0 IND *L*1 NAME McCandles, James*L*2 BIRT*L*2 DATE 1899-Jan-20*L*2 DEAT*L*2
DATE 1970-JUL-29

Now let's muddle it up. Suppose I have 200 of those lines. (I often do!)

Is there a way to seach for the "*L*" without quotes, and replace that with
a single carriage return so the above appears like this:

0 IND
1 NAME McCandles, James
2 BIRT
2 DATE 1899-Jan-20
2 DEAT
2 DATE 1970-JUL-29

Possible? It would be very nice. I can do it with a programmable keyboard
one at a time, but what about doing this document-wide, in one fell swoop?

Thank you.

Robert Carneal
