Actually, you can save email out in other formats as described in the article I passed to Robert in that email. Also...reading email from separate PST is very simple...I do it all the time. I regularly move out my email to separately sorted PST as archives...much better/easier than OL archives file format. Then I can move out email for say support, tech email, consulting, family, friends, etc...into their own PST for that year. This makes it very simple to find old emails whenever needed. I have all my emails saved on CDs back to 1995. ;-) This TechTrax article provides further details on that aspect... Hi Robert, No, that's not doable, I'm afraid. Outlook requires it's messages stores (PST files) to be NOT marked 'read only', and that's not possible on DVD/CD media. But really, how big are your PST files? Are they really causing you to run low on hard drive space? If so, you are probably better off shelling out for a bigger drive than worrying about trying to access PST files from removable media.
