First select all cells in the spreadsheet and then on the menu go to Format > Cells and click the Protection tab and uncheck Protect. Then select the individual cells you want to protect and go to Format > Cells and click the Protection tab and check Protect for those. Then when you protect the whole sheet only the cells you marked will be protected. -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Peggy Knesebeck Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2007 9:28 AM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Protect cells withing a worksheet I am trying to set up worksheets for budgets that other people will be updating. I want to protect only some cells in the worksheet and allow them to input in other cells on that same sheet. When I go into tools, it only allows me to protect the entire sheet. How can I just protect certain cells? Thanks in advance for your help! Peggy ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Missed the show?
