Well...you've got to understand that everyone is out to get MS cos' it is popular. Which is why all the hackers shoot for MS first...publicity...hitting the big guy...who cares if JoeBlow email applet gets a virus if 20 people are using it. As for the newbies who send out all the email...be nice cos' you have to realize they don't understand what you already do...but they will when they suddenly realize that they're getting tons of junk mail cos' their email is now out there and a bazillion spam engines are collecting it! At LEAST stick the names in BCC to help save your friends who prefer not to have their names sent all around the world for eternity! ;-) Dian Chapman Technical Consultant, Instructor, Microsoft MVP & TechTrax Editor Word AutoForm/VBA eBook: http://www.mousetrax.com/books.html Tutorial web site: http://www.mousetrax.com/techpage.html TechTrax Ezine: http://www.mousetrax.com/techtrax/ -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Charles R. I don't think it should it should be too hard to do! I get those sometimes, one of my friends who had just bought a new computer one day thought it would be great to share some mail with me. At the time I was on dial-up. One and a half hours later, Outlook FINALLY finished. :-O There were the jokes, with a gazillion cc:'s on it, (with the >>>>>> as you can imagine) and quite a few movies! I quickly told this person NOT to send me that stuff. :-( >-----Original Message----- >From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On >Behalf Of Dian Chapman >Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 8:32 AM >To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [mso] Re: Office and macro viruses (was OT - Varmits >...Charles) > > >Pictures I don't mind, too much...but if you send me some dumb 40 page >joke or some inspirational story of an angel on my shoulder...that has >700 bazillion >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and a million other email names and >garbage included...or some AMAZING OFFER like the one I got from an old >school friend yesterday letting me know Bill Gates is offering money to >forward this email to all on the list<big sigh...that one's been around >what? 5 years?>...then yes, you'll get a polite, but firm...thanks, but >don't include me in this stuff reply!
