Hi Dawn,

The first thing to know is what might have happened to change things - to
make MS Office ask for an 'activation code'.

Let me ask: Can you start the PC without any problems? Is it only when you
go to open an Office application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint for example) that
the activation code is asked for? Can you open other applications (Internet
Explorer, for example)?

If you are asked for an 'activation code' immediately on starting the
machine - without doing anything else but switch on - then it is NOT a
Microsoft Office problem but it may be a Microsoft Windows problem. If the
PC is relatively new, I would suggest that you contact the place you bought
it from.

This list, I'm afraid, can only help you with problems to do with Microsoft
Office ... not Windows, not MS Works, not Outlook Express or Internet
Explorer.

If you are asked for an activation code when starting an Office application,
however, it is possible that someone here may be able to help.
