HI Dawn

The good news is, none of your existing files are lost or damaged =20
(unless you lost them during your restore). After you initially =20
install office, you can only use it 50 times before it must be =20
activated, if it is not activated, it runs in what is called Reduced =20
Functionality Mode,

when Reduced Functionality Mode is activated office programs function =20=

more like viewers, most obviously, you will not able to create or =20
save documents a lot of other functionality will be disabled as well.

There are three ways to access the Office Activation Wizard:
=95 When you start an Office program that has not been activated.
=95 By clicking Activate Product on the Help menu in any Office program.
=95 By running the Office Activation Wizard outside an Office program.
(Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and =20=

then click Activate Product.)

Once the office Activation Wizard has started, you can activate =20
office by contacting Microsoft on the internet or by telephone. To =20
activate Office via the Internet, select the Activate By Using the =20
Internet Option and then click next, follow the wizards instructions =20
to connect to Microsoft's Office XP activation site and complete the =20
activation. Alternatively, you can activate by phone by selecting the =20=

activate by phone option and then click Next, the next dialog box =20
will provide you with the telephone number for of an agent in your =20
country and display your unique Installation ID. You need to provide =20
that agent with your ID and they in turn will give you a Confirmation =20=

ID, once you enter the confirmation ID and continue, the Wizard will =20
activate Office for you.

With the information sent to Microsoft during activation, none of =20
your personal information is sent, it is purely a hardware =20
identification code, it is up to you if you want to provide Microsoft =20=

with your name and address. The hardware identification does not =20
include any personal information, any information about software or =20
data that may reside on your computer, or any information about the =20
specific make or model of your computer. The hardware identification =20
identifies only the computer, and only for the purpose of activation.

Hope this helps

Nikki
