Did you Save copies of the documents in two places (e.g. My Documents plus a
memory stick), and by chance saved the document on question first in My Docs
and second on the stick, whereas the others first on the stick and then in My
Documents?
Also, if you Right click on the icon, select Properties and then look at
Location on the general tab, you will see the path to where Word is looking for
the file.

Hello All
I have recently edited a word document and now every time I try to open it I
get the error message
"word failed reading from this file (filename here.) Please restore the
network connection or replace the floppy disk and retry"
All other documents that were edited at the same time, and saved in the same
location, open with no problem what-so-ever. I have tried the "open and repair"
option, to no avail. Opening as a text document isn't an option due to the
contents and formatting.
Can ay one help please
