[mso] Re: Inserting a File in Word

Well, thanks to Linda's bringing up the styles issue, I figured it
out. I first tried inserting the file into a blank document, and
didn't have a problem, so I made the assumption that it was the first
document that was the problem. I tried copying and pasting and into
my document and the same thing happened. I also noticed that the
document was fine for about the first half, but went crazy about
halfway through, so I checked. Whoever created the 2nd document
changed styles about halfway through, using a body text style. I
checked the body text style in my first document and sure enough that
was the problem. I deleted the body text style from the first
document and voila, no more styles problem.

So thanks to Linda, and this just shows what happens when you have
people creating Word documents and they mess with the styles without
knowing what they are doing.

My original document has to be created with a inhouse automated
application, which apparently is using a starting document that has a
bunch of styles defined. Now that I know, I can watch out for this in
the future.

Thanks again to Linda.

Christine
