I am forwarding a question that a colleague had posted to another list but did not receive any replies. Perhaps this list will be more suited. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Dianne ****Question follows****** Whether I enter a new spreadsheet or an old one, as soon as I click on a cell, the highlight feature comes on and can not be deleted. The only way I can get out is to use the task manager. Neither Alt nor Ctrl + F4 work once the file is locked. My mouse appears to be working fine in all other programs and the keyboard does not have any keys that are sticking down. I checked for viruses - nothing shows. I can move and edit comments with no prob. I am using Windows XP and Excel 97. Any ideas as to what is causing this? *****end of questions******* ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
