Sure, Jim...I'm sure there are a few of us in here who will be glad to
"help" you...but some of us are also teachers and therefore, don't want to
just give you the answers...but if you tell us the problem you have to solve
and what YOUR ideas are, we will gladly offer our input, I'm sure.

And, if you are "terrible" with IF statements, you should read this article
I just wrote for Dian's ezine, TechTrax ...it's very basic and takes you
thru a basic IF statement, step by step....call it "IFs for Newbies" LOL

Read this and come back with questions:
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=225

If that link wraps, use this one:
http://snurl.com/2lfj

And the basic rule of thumb in Excel is...if you want everything to work
smoothly, generally the best way to set up your data is to put your Headings
across your top row, and your data listed in columns.

Subject: [mso] Excel formula assistance

Hello;
I am going to college to learn spreadsheets II.
I am (terrible) at starting a spreadsheet from scratch. I can do the
basics, Title, spacing, so on.
But, when it comes to taking data from a problem and creating a
NEW spreadsheet.
I am curious to know, if I would share that data with you, will you
help me create a spreadsheet?
In addition, I (terrible) with the "IF" function.
--------------
Creating a spreadsheet from scatch, I have problems with figuring
out if so-so should be column headings, or, in rows?
Hope this helps,
JIM
=>P.S. I, understand that will not help me in the long run, but, I
am not going to get a degree in spreadsheets.
