Sometimes a lack of response is a suggestion to try asking again but ask
differently this time. Change the information to be more specific, get
better details, etc. Otherwise, the tendency is to say "Hmmm, I don't
understand what she was aksing but that may be because she knows something
I don't so I won't waste her time." So you could turn the answer around
and say that sometimes the group isn't useful until people learn how to
prepare to ask a question. So, ask a Q. No answer? No problem, ask it
again but with better detail or better clarity...anything to appeal to a
broader/different group of people in here.

Last week, the question that was sent to us in raw TNEF format from
Outlook about Outlook served as a great example. Obviously, none of us
knew what was on the author's mind execpt Greek. They realized it and have
gotten back to us again but in a format we can understand.

My own tendency is to answer only what I think I understand very well or
those things that made me think of something funny. The latter happens
more often than the former.<g>
