[mso] Re: 3Ds and Ods in freelists emails

Thanks, Linda!

That begs an (on-topic!) Office question - Outlook (XP) is supposed to =
sense
the mail it is replying to and reply in a similar format.

As I type, it says (Plain Text) in the blue bar.

(When I reply to a Yahoo list, it says HTML since yahoo Groups adds the =
html
ads...)

So why am I getting it in the mso list?

Mark

Hi Mark...and others. All those weird characters are inserted when
freelists tries to convert your html mail to plain text....if you just
convert it to plain text within your email program BEFORE you send it, =
it
shouldn't happen. (And if you use mail with backgrounds and colors,
freelists makes a real mess of it...and if you use something like
Incredimail, it's almost unreadable by the time freelists gets done
converting it)

Freelists isn't as forgiving as yahoo....so, ya gotta clean it up before =
it
leaves your house, so to speak. I also notice that if I send a fresh =
mail
from here, I don't have those codes within my mails, but if I REPLY to =
one
that has them, I sometimes do. So, if you aren't seeing it in ALL of =
your
mails, odds are it's just happening when you reply to one that's already
messy.

Another good answer!

Now, why to they keep creeping in to my simple Outlook e-mails?

(Could it be the way some lists convert html to text?)

Thanks,

Mark
