No, we're changing our internal addresses because when some former admin = set up the network he used 192.168.1.x for the main office (clients and = servers all together on the same subnet) which is bad enough by itsself = but then the VPN problems with remote users that have routers at home = are just getting way out of hand. I've already created a new vlan and = moved our "PDC" or fsmo machine over to it. I still have one domain = controller and the mail server on the old vlan and just need to change = the address of the servers but I'm not sure if that can cause major = problems with exchange. The domain controller took to it easily enough. = I'm just worried that there's some odd hook in AD that uses the IP of = the exchange server rather than the name and the whole thing will freak = out when the address changes. -----Original Message----- From: msexchange-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:msexchange-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Carl Black Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2004 4:38 PM To: msexchange@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [msexchange] Re: Change internal nat address of exchange 2000 server Just NAT and DNS, yeah - I assume you mean you're building a new server = with a different IP address, which will be replacing the server in place? > -----Original Message----- > From: Matt Nelson [mailto:nelsonm@xxxxxxxx] > Sent: Friday, 26 mmmm 2004 4:51=20 > To: msexchange@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [msexchange] Change internal nat address of exchange 2000 > server >=20 >=20 > I need to change my internal nated exchange server address. =20 > Anyone know =3D > of any steps required other than fixing nat and dns? >=20 > Matt Nelson >=20 >=20 > =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D > Use the below link for Archives, > and to set your preferences. >=20 > http://thethin.net/exchangelist.cfm >=20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Use the below link for Archives, and to set your preferences. http://thethin.net/exchangelist.cfm ===================== Use the below link for Archives, and to set your preferences. http://thethin.net/exchangelist.cfm
