Yeah, some people don't hold up as well as others. Sheer luck, or lifestyle. I know, speaking of which, Bob Dylan is coming to town next month, but I have no desire to see him; he was never a great singer, although he was an unmatched writer; and his voice has gotten worse over time.

I Saw Tony Bennett when he was 87 or so, and it was unbelievable. When most singers age, their vibrattto slows down -- his hadn't yet. I know he performed in Grand Rapids last Spring at age 92.

Another person that was totally awesome was Johnny Mathis, Shan and I saw him probably four years ago or so, when he was around 80.

Anyway, glad you got to see Arlo.

I'm gonna have to keep tabs on the Arc, they have great acts that come in there al most every day during this time of year.

Thanks, Steve.
Arlo sounded pretty old, he's in his early 70's.
We came to the conclusion he sounds like a more melodic Bob Dylan.
He had a teleprompter on stage for Alice's restaurant, and you sure can't blame him for that, lol.

Belated Happy Birthday, Marcia.

What a classic!  I hope Arlo still sounded decent.

Sometimes, you never know. We saw Tom Paxton about eleven years ago, and he didn't sound real good -- he was probably 70 or maybe 72.

But, then last year we saw him again and he sounded like a much younger Paxton; his voice was clear and youthful.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes.
Yesterday was a very nice birthday.
My friend Mary and I went out to lunch, and I also got a haircut.
That was a very nice first part of the day.
Following that, Another friend, Cheryl, and I went to dinner in Ann Arbor.
We went to a restaurant I hadn't been to, The Real Seafood Company, it was
very good.
After dinner, we crossed the street to a well-known folk music venue
called the Ark, where we saw Arlo Guthrie.
It was a good concert, and of course he performed Alice's Restaurant.
After the concert we came home, and Cheryl spent the night.
It was a very nice day.
Marcia
