"Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are shaking with terror. My soul also is struck with terror, while you, O LORD--how long? Turn, O LORD, save my life; deliver me for the sake of your steadfast love." ~Psalm 6:2-4 .=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=. I believe that all sacrifice and all suffering is of value to me. When I am in pain, I am often tested. Can I trust in God, not matter how I feel? Can I say, "Your will be done," no matter how much I am defeated? If I can do these things, my faith is real and practical. It can work in bad times as well as in good times. God's will can work in a way that is beyond my finite mind to understand, but I can still trust in it. .=: P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y :=. I pray that I may take my suffering in my stride. I pray that I may accept pain and defeat as they come, and grow spiritually as I receive God's strength to make it through. .=: S C R I P T U R E S A N D S A I N T O F T H E D A Y := Scriptures: http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/ Saint of the Day: http://www.americancatholic.org/Features/SaintofDay/ .=: W E P R A Y :=. Bee asks prayers for two intentions. Betty asks for prayers for her daughter who needs help financially and her granddaughter get the job she wants. Frieda asks prayers for someone to regain health. Bill asks prayers for his poor legs and balance difficulty. Therese asks for prayers for a total healing. Maria asks prayers for her godmother whose son passed away on January 4th. We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a good day! May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!
