St. Catherine of Alexandria (c. 310) 
According to the Legend of St. Catherine, this young woman converted to
Christianity after receiving a vision. At the age of 18, she debated 50
pagan philosophers. Amazed at her wisdom and debating skills, they became
Christians-as did about 200 soldiers and members of the emperor's family.

As we rapidly approach the end of the Church year we focus on the end of
time. We can trust that our God is with us and that, even in the time of
persecution, we will be given words to say that nobody can refute. We can
persevere, knowing God's constant love and protection.

I pray that I may not fear the end.  I pray that I may cultivate my
relationship with God and my relationships with others and work for the
things that truly last.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home.  We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!
