St. Francesco Antonio Fasani 1681-1742
Born in Lucera (southeast Italy), Francesco entered the Conventual
Franciscans in 1695. After his ordination 10 years later, he taught
philosophy to younger friars, served as guardian of his friary and later
became provincial. When his term of office ended, Francesco became master of
novices and finally pastor in his hometown. For more, follow the link

Lord, I thank you for your faithfulness and love. ~Psalm 138

this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?" ~Luke 17:11-19

Saying Thank You makes such common sense. Still, it didn't occur to nine of
the lepers who were cleansed in today's Gospel. Many of us will gather today
... with family members and friends. We'll gather for Mass with our Parish
family as well, remembering that Eucharist means Thanksgiving. May we be
people of common sense and express our thanks to God and to our loved ones.

I pray that I may be a person of common sense. I pray that I may live a
life of gratitude, thanking God, my family members and friends and all those
I rely on in so many ways.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!

Father Pat

"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10

Newly written each day by Father Pat Umberger. Morning Prayer may not be
published by others, but is a good resource for preachers and those who attend
Daily Mass, and those who would like to keep up with the Lectionary Readings
and are not always able to attend Daily Mass.
