"May his goodness toward us endure in Israel to deliver us in our days."
~Sirach 50:22-24

"... you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the
revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:3-9

Jesus said in reply, "Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other
nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?" ~Luke
17:11-19

God is always faithful to us, His people. We can be like the nine lepers
who lacked the common sense to return and thank Jesus for their healing. Or
we can be like the Samaritan leper, who did return, and was saved by his
faith.

I pray that I can live a thankful life. I pray that I may not take credit
for what I can do and for what I have, but give that credit to the God who
is constantly generous to me.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe! Happy Thanksgiving
to all of you!

Father Pat

"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10

Newly written each day by Father Pat Umberger. Morning Prayer may not be
published by others, but is a good resource for preachers and those who attend
Daily Mass, and those who would like to keep up with the Lectionary Readings
and are not always able to attend Daily Mass.
