Some of you may remember that a few years ago, I restored an old lathe. This one: http://www.alanstepney.info/z20.jpg It is ex-Royal Navy, and although there is no deifinate identification, it has some features of both Britannia and Colchester. Both companies were in the same town, and often worked together, so it could well have been a joint effort. It was made during WW1, and initially used on a destroyer. Since I moved, it has neem stored in a pals garage, as I dont have the space for it. He will be moving shortly so I need to dispose of it. A good solid, VERY solid, lathe, (with a motor and hydraulic speed control), it weighs well over half a ton, probably closer to ton. I can assist in dismantling it, for transport. Needless to say, collect only. (No, it wont go through the letter box!) Before I put it on Ebay, I am mentioning it here in case anyone is interested. Alan MODEL ENGINEERING DISCUSSION LIST.
