Yes they are. And I think touchscreens are very cool. I have a Yamaha Reface
DX. And it has touch sliders for controlling stuff. But if it's done correctly,
we can use touch screens. Speech would be the best way to go, but also is more
than likely the way Yamaha may not go right away. Although, they do have a
couple digital pianos with some kind of speech on them. Maybe they will start
implementing that with other synths and work stations? We shall see. But for
now, I think the Montage may be something we can deal with. I guess we wait
until it comes out, then we go explore it. Let's not

I don't think he was trying to scare anyone off here. I had the same thoughts
when I saw some of the videos with the touch screen. I did not know that all
the other functions could be done without the touch screen either. This is a
good idea. Korg is quite the opposite though.

Hey guys, I just got word that the Yamaha Montage came out. This is
there replacement for the Motif XF, but the problem is, it has a touch screen!
We
need to start petitioning Yamaha to create a voice-over for their
keyboards, or something to that degree. I am working on a suggestions
for improvement document to send to Yamaha and plan to post it soon.
