I agree that keeping all of Ashlar's designs together would be good.
Either on the Minima group, preferable to me as it gets away from Yahoo
and it's problems or the BITX group..
Somebody suggested a HF1 group, there is already a HF One MKII yahoo
group which doesn't appear to be relevant to these radios. It was
started in 2013

go ahead and make whatever you can out of the body of work
of minima with the following caveat:
1. to keep minima distinct, i wouldn't like these boards or
version to be callled the Minima or Minima version x, y z.
Choose a different name.
2. if you design is substantially derived from Minima, then
it should be available without any restrictive copyright.
3. the software is under GPL, thus any derived version must
be available under the GPL too.
on the other hand, i have completed a much easier to build
(though slightly more part count than the BITX) all band
transceiver called the HF1. It uses diode mixers and the
same audio back-end as the Minima. The HF1 is a double
conversion transceiver with the first IF of 45 MHz and the
second IF of 10 MHz. The first oscillator is the Si570 and
the second oscillator is 18.432 MHz crystal in third
overtone. I have been operating it extensively for the last
few months. It is a fantastic performer which is very easy
to setup and build. I am enclosing a circuit of it here for
you guys to go through.
I will complete the write-up and post it soon on my website.
this grew out of my frustration with the Minima's KISS
mixer's oscillator leakage.
