Dear Farhan, You say ' ...arduino as a 28 DIP socket soldered..', do you mean Atmega328P ? Even you programmed it using Arduino, it is Atmega, is'n it ... I never programme AVR microcontroller, especially using Arduino. ( usually I use PIC and programme it using usb programmer ). Looking the C language seem easier than assembler. Very interested to learn Arduino. Please tell me what kind of Arduino you use to programme this Minima controller. I can find easily many type of Arduino and Atmega ( but not Si570 ). BTW I have two complete set of DDS VFO ( version of VU3CNS and LU5DJV, just finished and ready to use. Is it possible to use it for Minima ? Are there any modification accordingly ? A regular board. If you see the pictures, you can spot the arduino as a 28 DIP socket soldered with its legs bent away to the solder side of a perf board, then, I put that board over a copper clad board and solder down the ground points to hold the perf to the copper. That way, the arduino noise stays away from the analog circuitry. The P in 328P is something called "Picopower". A chip feature that I know nothing about (yet) but Farhan specified it so I'd run with that one. So I think your ATMEGA328P-PU is the right chip. I've only played with ready made Audrino boards without burning my own bootloader. So I hold off on answering that question. Steve VK2SJA > I'm brand new to the Arduino stuff and need some help.
