XP SP2 information and e-book download link
http://www.lettermanstationery.com/XPSP2.htm
XP SP2 is more of an update to the OS (Operating System) than just a normal
SP (Service Pack). There are many changes to the OS, as well as Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express. We have found it to be similar to when Win 98
was updated to Win 98SE.

Because of the nature of the new security settings for both Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express, an e-book has been written with many screen
shots included. Myself (Robbie), with a couple of my friends, have written
this e-book. This update isn't the end all of end alls for XP SP2, but a
starting point for ones that want to upgrade to XP SP2. The guide isn't
written in stone and can be changed to suit your current needs. Most of it
is suggestions taken from our experiences of testing this through the many
betas over 6 months. We hope that you will find this guide to be useful and
timesaving.

Gmail Notifier beta
http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/index.html
To use the Gmail Notifier, you need Windows 2000, Windows XP, or a more
recent version of Windows.
The Gmail Notifier is a downloadable Windows application that alerts you
when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to
let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their
subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web
browser.

Cool Black Cat with Green Eyes
http://home.wanadoo.nl/annekebroenink/maukie2.swf
Go to this site (link below). I have no clue how they got this to work.
There are some great code writers out there!

If you tease her with the mouse pointer on her chest or stomach she will
purr, and
I got her to meow also, by rubbing her forehead with the pointer.

If you make a slow circle around her body, (counter-clockwise) not only will
her
head/eyes follow your pointer, but toward the top, her paw will go up, and
when
in front of her paws at the bottom, her foot comes out like she wants to
play with
your mouse pointer.

(Don't hold the mouse down, just move it)

Mihov Image Resizer freeware
http://www.imageresizer.com/

Mihov Image Resizer is a handy tool for batch resizing images in bmp, gif,
and jpg picture formats.
You can make pictures or any kind of images smaller or bigger - whichever
you need at the time.

The second feature of the program is converting pictures between different
graphic formats.
You can change from bitmap to JPEG or GIF, from JPEG to GIF or from GIF to
JPEG. Again, this can
be made in batch mode. That means that you will only have to select the
images and the program
will do the rest for all selected images.

The third major feature is rotating. If you have a digital camera and you
took some upright shots
you will have to turn them arround. What better way than with Mihov Image
Resizer? You can
rotate the photos to the left or to the right. This feature comes handy also
when you are scanning
and are too lazy to turn the pictures...

Mihov Image Resizer is also a perfect utility for creating thumbnails, so
you can put them on your
home page for faster loading or send pictures with smaller size to family
and friends by e-mail.

Dual Boot Considerations
If your PC is set up to run more than one operating system, you need to
exercise a bit more than
normal care when you install programs. It is generally considered safest to
install different
operating systems on different disk drives, or at least on different
partitions of the same physical
drive. If you use the same program in more than one of those operating
systems, you may be
tempted to use the same program folder for each operating system. While this
may work, it is
usually not a good idea. The program may need different versions of certain
shared files for
different operating systems, and this could mean the program will only work
correctly on the last
operating system for which it was installed.

Saving Email
I like to save my email in plain text form in Notepad.

I highlight the section of text from an email and copy it
Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl and letter C to copy
and then open notepad and paste it into there
Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl and letter V to paste

I then give the file a name and save it to a folder.

By saving the text portion only I don't have to worry about backing up my
mailbox.
Also in most cases the files are much smaller as there are no headers
included or footers/ads from the email provider.
