Lest We Forget
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Street/8986/rem_day.html
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month ...

REMEMBRANCE DAY - Bryan Adams
(from "Into the Fire" A&M 1987)

For our king and our country, and the promise of glory
We came from Kingston and Brighton to fight on the front lines
Just lads from the farms and boys from the cities
Not meant to be soldiers, we lay in the trenches
We'd face the fighting with a smile ... or so we said
If only we had known what danger lay ahead

The sky turned to grey as we went into battle
On the fields of Europe young men were fallin'
I'll be back for you someday - it won't be long
If I can just hold on `til the bloody war is over

The guns will be silent - on Remembrance Day
There'll be no more fighting - on Remembrance Day

By October of `18 Cambrai had fallen
Soon the war would be over and we'd be returning
Don't forget me while I'm gone far away
Well, it won't be long `til I'm back there in your arms again

The guns will be silent - on Remembrance Day
There'll be no more fighting - on Remembrance Day

One day soon I don't know when
You know we'll all be free and the bells of peace will ring again
The time will come for you and me
We'll be going home when this bloody war has ended

The guns will be silent - on Remembrance Day
We'll all say a prayer - on Remembrance Day

... on Remembrance Day ...
... say a little prayer ...
... on Remembrance Day ...

Well, the guns will be silent
There'll be no more fighting
We'll lay down our weapons
On Remembrance Day

... on Remembrance Day ...

Dedicated to my Father a Veteran of WWII

Windows Explorer Tips

When you open up Windows Explorer, either from the Start Menu or by using
the
Windows Key + E hotkey, it always opens up the same.
There are some shortcuts that you can make that will change that though.

explorer.exe /n
Opens Windows Explorer in single-pane view, which is similar to
the view you see when you open My Computer.

explorer.exe /e
Opens Windows Explorer in multipane view, which is the view used
when you open Windows Explorer from the default Windows Explorer
shortcut on the Start menu.

explorer.exe /root, c:\
Specifies the folder that you want Windows Explorer to use as the root for
the view.
You can change the part that has c:\ to anything you want.

explorer.exe /select, c:\command.com
Makes Windows Explorer select the file or folder specified.

You can also combine several of these and separate them with a comma ",".
For instance, if you wanted to open up Windows Explorer in multipane view,
with a root of c:\windows and you wanted your cookies folder highlighted,
you would use the following command:
explorer.exe /e, /root, c:\windows, /select, c:\windows\cookies

Recover Files from Reycle Bin

If you find that you have deleted files there is a chance that you may
recover the files provied that;
You have not already emptied the recycle bin.
Or the recycle bin if already full and has started to delete older files.
If you have the recycle bin set to imediatly delete files they will not be
recoverable.

To recover files double-click the Recycle Bin to open it.
Select the item(s) you want to recover, and select Restore from the File
menu.

If you select a folder, all items in the folder are restored.

If you only want a specific file from the folder, you must restore the
entire folder and then put the unneeded items back in the Recycle Bin.

I have also posted a program that has sucessfuly recovered files here;

http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html
Restoration Version 2.5.14 Author: Brian Kato
Restoration.zip
This file has been scaned for Virus with NAV2004, and is Spyware free Jan
22, 2004

Description
Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while
holding down the Shift key by mistake.
Conversely, this program has another function that makes it almost
impossible to restore all deleted files.
You can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files
and so on.
++ There is more on the web site.
