My widgets seem to be fine since the upgrade, I’ve got translation so I can
help our son with his French homework, weather, and calculator. Contacts search
and calendar are also in my dashboard menu, but I havne’t really used them.
Actually just took the contacts search widget for a spin, it’s not bad, I might
work on getting used to it. I don't think there's much of an advantage to using
the calculator widget as opposed to just having calculator in my dock. I think
the translation widget is definitely the most handy to have easy access to.
For those who aren't all that familiar with widgets, you can access them using
the F 12 key, Function F12 is using a Macbook keyboard. VO F2, Function VO F2
on a Macbook, pressed twice brings up a dashboard menu that allows you to
switch between the widgets you have installed. Now you are about to ask how you
to instal and uninstall widgets, my answer is that I don't know. I'll have to
do a little searching on that when I need to procrastinate from work a bit.
Cheers,
Ian

Hi Deb,
A widget is a small application which gives you basic information on
something. For example the 1 I use most is a weather widget which gives me
local weather. Although it is handy I don't know if it will be worth messing
with in the future.

Subject: [macvoiceover] widgets with Sierra
Hi folks,
I have downloaded sierra on the laptop and I find that the widgets I used
with Mavericks no longer work. Am I missing something?
Thanks.
