Before using keyboard commands make sure you navigate back to the scroll area
instead of staying on the toolbar, and press the escape key. Pressing the space
bar should then start playback wherever the play head is.

By pressing the tab key the playback will stop and the playhead will return

and then did command-shift-y to set the play head at that location.
However, when I hit the play button it started from 0 instead of the
