Once you understand how VO works, all you need is the documentation that comes with your mac, in all the help menus. That's the beautiful thing about the Mac. Once you understand VO, you'll be good to go. And yes, it is much more user friendly than Windows... At least that's my opinion. I was not a big apple fan or anything. I didn't like apple for any particular reasons. I switched to the mac because I tried it for a few days, and it's simply a much much better interface, and VO works great. And most of all, we don't even have to worry about problems that Windows users have all the time with their screen readers or their systems in general.

Hi David,First, thanks for all of this. I really am trying to be fair and objective, but I think I'm alittle surprised. I had always heard that Mac is so much more user-friendly than Windows, and I'm finding it to be completely the opposite. Now granted, I have been using Windows for a lot of years, but what's frustrating me the most is not that I don't know what I'm doing, butthat I can never find answers to what seem to me to be pretty basic questions. So, I get the bit about command comma. But when you were talking about opening webpages, you said "if you want the familiar". Is what you described the typical way to go to a new page? Also, if you don't mind another question, I'm wondering about documentation. I actually embossed the bRF copy of the manual from the Apple site, but am not finding it to be very helpful. For example, in the section on Safari, there were just a few paragraphs on the different ways you can organize a web page (view by links, by groups etc). Do you know of any documentationthat is more thorough? Thanks a lot again! When you want to change something about an app, it is often done in preferences. windows has this stuff all over the place and there is never a way to know where it is. Not so thewith mac, in every app, command-comma brings up it prefs, tis includes the finder.
