I worked for a software company back in the late 90s, a .com of course, and we
released buggy software like everybody else just because we had to get it out
there. I recall that Windows Millenium, or maybe it was XP, was released with
20000 known bugs. The actual technical guys were always frustrated that we
released thier stuff before they thought it was done, but we just couldn’t wait
for them to get it perfect. Lorne Michaels always told the cast of Saturday
Night Live that they weren’t going on because they were ready, they were going
on because it’s 11:30.
