Thank you both! Laura writes:Pressing control and eject (that's the very top key on the right-hand side of the keyboard) will bring you up a dialogue with restart, sleep and shutdown options. Shutdown is selected by default, so you can just hit enter when the dialogue comes up, and it'll turn itself off.
Covici writes:I just use the apple menu (control-option-m) and go down till it says shutdown. I forget the shortcut and as none is listed next to the menu, there may be none.
