Yeah, I know. But I bought it intending to make it into a talking GPS. The warranty is no good to me if I can't do that. I may brick it trying to jailbreak it but I wouldn't expect Apple to fix it. Besides, I think you can un-jailbreak it enough to keep using it if it doesn't work. If I can't jailbreak it, I'll give it to a family member.

Am I going to get kicked off this list if I ask questions about jailbreaking an iPod Touch? I got kicked off the macvoiceover list for that (no warning, no appeal, nothing). But jailbreaking an IOS device is absolutely legal. I think its crazy that you can get kicked off the macvoiceover list for just bringing it up.I want to jailbreak my iPod Touch so I can hook it up to a bluetooth GPS. I'm hoping that if I can get it to work, I can build myself a talking GPS for under $300.************ You are subscribed to the mac4theblind mailing list. The url for this list, where one can unsubscribe or make any changes to their list subscription is://www.freelists.org/list/mac4theblind The list archive is located at //www.freelists.org/archive/mac4theblind/ All emails intended for the list owner can be sent to: john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
