Ovvio che ti da questo errore...
E poi il comando per far partire il kde3 e' startkde, non kde3.

vi ~/.xinitrc
e scrivi exec startkde
Salvi il file e digitando strartx partira' il kde3.
Evitiamo pero' di fare sempre le stese domande....
