You have to buy Vegas Pro. Vegas Studio is the home version.

Vegas Studio does not do it either. This is frustrating. So if acommercial
comes in and has closed caption we cannot edit the front and backoff without
deleting the closed caption?

What I would like to find is the Version 4 of Womble whenit passed the closed
caption. I would give up fancy 3D effects for a simpleeditor.

Rick;
Sounds like you may need to use more than one app or serviceto do the job. For
example, if you have a video that needs editing, editit in your favorite
software. Output the audio of the edited video as anmp3 file and use a service
that will create an SRT document file from theaudio. There are several
services such as this one: https://sonix.ai/how-to-convert-mp3-to-srt
Take the edited video and the SRT file into Handbrake (afree video transcoder
for both Mac and Windows). Handbrake will embed theCC (the SRT file) into the
video and output the video into whatever format youneed. Handbrake will also
rip a DVD and preserve cc or will CG the audioonto the video (if there are
subtitles).
But I think you will need more than one software package.

But no closed caption unless you have a beforeversion 5 version. The easy
test. Find a video with closed caption in it. Totest, load the VLC player and
while it is playing, right click on the screenand choose SUBTITLE > SUB TRACK
and it will pop up on the Screen. Then runit through a Womble edit session and
see if you have it on the editedversion.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Womble. But I worryabout getting nailed for not
running closed captions.
Life was easier in the video tape days.

I have Videoredo and it just isn't as handy as Womble. No title overlay and not
as easy to edit the video. Also womble was nicebecause of audio normalization.

Haven't used it in a while, but you might want to check outAdobe Premiere. You

I'm a mac guy and use Final Cut Pro and Compressor forediting and encoding

OK, so either no one edits videos or it is a super trade secret.

What are most folks using these days to edit DVD’sto mpeg files for air. I
found out and confirmed Womble does not pass closedcaption. Not looking for
anything fancy, just quick, easy, CG overlay and passclosed caption.
